Daily Dev Update: Quadrant Spawns and Cleaner Paths - December 11, 2025
Hey, here’s what we’ve been working on today. The short version: spawn placement got more precise, visuals are clearer, bots understand the new layout, and we cleaned up a few float vs. grid issues that were causing weirdness. We also nudged spikes down a bit for early-game PvP balance.
What’s New
Per-Tile Quadrant Spawns
We split each spawn tile into four quadrants. So you can now place 4x as many spawn points as before
Bots also generate and track four valid positions per tile, so their deployment looks intentional and gives a more realistic sparring partner.
What Got Fixed
- Cleaned up temporary spawn placements that could stick around due to float comparison hiccups. Ghost markers should be gone.
Under the Hood
Balance: Spikes Tower
Spikes got a small damage reduction because they are too powerful against large clusters of enemies.
