After some rigerous playtesting last week I’ve made some big overhauls to the gameplay based on feedback.

Player Roles

The first major change is now you now don’t have to both attack and defend at the same time. Instead you choose your favorite playstyle in the lobby and play the game that way. Playstyles are: Generalist, Offensive, Defensive and Support. You also now only choose 3 minions OR towers, not 2 of both.

This way players can focus on what they enjoy and work together as a team to win, instead of everyone needing to do a bit of everything.

Team-wide income

To make the new roles work correctly income is now team wide, so even if you’re only defending you’ll continue to gain more income from your offensive teammates to build up your fortress to greater heights. This makes it feel much more like a team game rather than 3 solo players.

Smaller Map

The map is now 2 rows smaller in height, with a lane stripped off either side, and 3 columns smaller in width. The spawn zone is 2 tiles smaller as it didn’t need to be so huge. This makes the gameplay feel tighter and works better on most monitors (whereas previously many players noted they didn’t see the top and bottom rows of the screen).
