I’m a solo indie developer building my dream game — Tower Storm, a multiplayer PvP tower defense game with deep strategy and endless replayability. It’s now in open alpha, and players are already having fun battling head-to-head — but to take it to the next level, I need more playtesters and a growing community around it.

That’s where you come in.

I’m looking for a Head of Growth / Marketing to help Tower Storm reach its first big wave of players. You’ll be the one driving the early momentum — growing our player base, building community hype, and helping shape how we bring Tower Storm to the world.

This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact on a live indie game at exactly the moment it’s starting to take off.


What You’ll Do

  • Dream up and manage creative campaigns, giveaways, and competitions to attract new playtesters.
  • Reach out to streamers and YouTubers who play indie or tower defense games and get them to try Tower Storm.
  • Find low-budget, high-impact ways to advertise the game and grow our audience.
  • Build relationships with influencers and gaming communities who could spread the word.
  • Post fresh, engaging content on our Discord, Reddit, Twitter, and Bluesky to keep the community active and excited.
  • Scout gaming events or conventions where we could demo Tower Storm to new players.

Bonus Points If You:

  • Are genuinely passionate about tower defense or strategy games — and love playing them.
  • Enjoy playing Tower Storm yourself and creating gameplay clips or short videos for social media.
  • Have a knack for community management, helping moderate our Discord and subreddit with positivity and enthusiasm.

Tower Storm isn’t a corporate project — it’s a labour of love. You won’t be just “running marketing” — you’ll be helping shape the identity and community of a new competitive indie game from the ground up.

If things go well, there’s even the potential to become a co-founder and earn equity in the company.


Requirements

  • Fluent / Near-Fluent in English
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently — for now, it’ll just be you and me

Salary & Work

  • $25/hr to start. Potentially more after 90 day trial.
  • Working 10 - 20 hours per week initially.
